2026 Beginner Beekeeping Class
The Huguenot Beekeepers' Association (HBA) is holding its annual Beginning Beekeeping Course on four Saturdays beginning in January and running through March. Attendees will receive instruction on the basics of beekeeping, the various equipment including hive components and tools, diseases and pests, what to expect in the first year, how to purchase and install your bees, sources of pollen and nectar, and (weather permitting) a hands on field day in the club's apiary.

We are excited to host Master Beekeeper Landi Simone, EAS (Eastern Apicultural Society), through a live telecommunications engagement. Landi will share her very creative and proven methods for managing the swarm impulse.

By popular demand, we're thrilled to welcome back Ryan Williamson to discuss creating and managing nucleus colonies spring through winter! His presentation will be a great opportunity for both beginners and experienced beekeepers to sharpen their skills on the essential techniques for managing bees in nucleus colonies.

Honey Bee Festival
Huguenot Beekeepers Association will be at the 14th annual Honey Bee Festival at the Chesterfield County Fair Grounds!
There will be live music by the Bee Flats, Children’s Activities, Local Honey, Beekeeping supplies and other things for Sale, Free Bee friendly plants, Educational Talks, Face Painting, Food Trucks, and More!
